  A buddy and I just hunted the area on Sunday. Its pretty much hunted out. We were able to walk up on 3 bucks and a doe (not in season sadly) to within 15 yards. The bucks were absolutely beautiful 4 and 5+ pointed and in the velvet. Absolutely amazing! There were zero rabbits to be seen however, I managed to get within 5 feet of two hens (Also not in season) thanks to the waist high grass on separate occasions with one having 8 young that flushed right after she did.The North West corner is inundated in sticky, pokey weeds that make for a hard walk. Most of the vegetation is waist high and the vegetation surrounding the water is an inch in diameter and 8-10 feet tall. The wet area runs parallel to County Road 107 and then turns west where it remains about 15 feet wide nearly all the way to the river. Plan on a hard hike and give yourself plenty of time to exit the area well before sunset. If your willing to hike all the way to the river, it provides nice secluded areas to fish.
